Kathleen + Justin - October 8, 2022

Kathleen and Justin were married on a beautiful autumn day in October. Kathleen had requested lots of texture and moodiness in the flowers to match the season - playing off the beautiful colours of nature in the fall. They were married at UBC Botanical Gardens, and the reception was at False Creek Community Centre.

Flowers were all local as always, many grown by River and Sea Flowers and Twigs Twisted Farm.

This was Kathleen’s review:

“I am so happy I went with Alicia’s Florals for our wedding. Alicia is friendly, professional and creative. From the initial consultation, the proposal with visuals to the final product, Alicia puts thought and care into every aspect of her work. I also really like that Alicia gets flowers from local farms. The florals for our fall wedding were absolutely gorgeous! Alicia created beautiful bouquets incorporating fall colours and movement. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants beautiful florals and great customer service. Thank you Alicia!!”

Alessia + Matthew - May 14, 2022

Alessia and Matthew had a beautiful wedding out on Morgan Creek golf course on a lovely day in May. Alessia had requested colour in all the fun spring tones of flowers and I was happy to oblige! Flowers include icelandic poppies, rancunculus, hyacinth, spirea, anenomes, tulips and lisianthus. All locally grown - many by River and Sea flowers. The couple had these wonderful brass vases that we used for the ceremony and then moved to the reception afterwards.

Carls + Kev

Carleigh and Kevin also known as Carls and Kev are dear friends of my husband and I and it was a joy to create for them! Carls works part time in the wedding industry - Jo and Grace Co, and is a very creative person, so we had a lot of fun dreaming up what their wedding could look like! She wanted modern, more neutral tones with some interesting textures and a fun installation for the reception. This beautiful venue - The Wallace in North Van was a gorgeous backdrop for their day.

Another great part of this wedding was that my husband Aaron played some music for them at the ceremony ;)

Rebecca + Kurtis

Rebecca and Kurtis were married on a beautiful August Day at Morgan Creek Golf Course.

While I am always a fan of colour, this white and green wedding was a fun exploration of textures and tone within this limited palette. Some favourite flowers were lime green amaranth, silver poplar and love in a puff.

I used flowers from River and Sea Flowers and Twig Twisted as well as roses from Eurosa Farms.

Thank you again for having me a part of your day!

Asia + Liam

This early September was a dream. Asia and Liam were so easy and wonderful to work with as well as the other amazing vendors! The colour palette was something I dreamed up together with the couple and it reflected the beauty of the fall season.

I used flowers grown in my own garden - cosmos, phlox and zinnias for bouquets and arrangements, which was such a joy! Growing flowers has been something I’ve wanted to learn more about over the past few years and this wedding encouraged me to grow (pardon the pun) more in this area.

The floral arbour was set up in record time due to a delay in it arriving very late. My team and I did everything to prepare for it when it did arrive with 30 minutes before the ceremony. Typically, I will have the floral arbour complete at the very latest by this time. We put it together in 20 minutes, finishing 10 minutes before the ceremony and many of the guests already arriving. Needless to say it was a bit stressful but we made it through!

Thank you to Chelsey Lea Photography for these stunning photos.
